Eeeee, love this one!! One of my new favourite sets eevveerr!
The apron is double-layered, and REVERSIBLE!!
For one side of the apron, I used a natural HEMP blend fabric...the edges of the apron have been topstitched with scalloped decorative stitch and also HAND-frayed. LOVE this look!!! The front features a beautiful applique of a maple leaf! The applique is made out of the most gorgeoussss maple leaf print quilt fabric. The top of the waistband is accented with more scalloped decorative stitching.
For the other side of the apron, I used a beautiful floral print cotton fabric. The front features a floral design embroidered by me! It's done in 3, vibrant thread colours and I've also done some "free-motion" stitching on top for extra detail. I love the way this applique/embroidery came out! Instead of regular satin stitching, I used a fancy pearl-like stitch. The top of the waistband is accented with more scalloped decorative stitching. The edges of the apron have been topstitched with a flower decorative stitch. Since the apron is double-layered, you can see the hem of the other apron underneath!
The apron ties are nice and wide...done in cream and pale yellow, in slanted patchwork!!
I used a gray-ish green crinkle cotton fabric for the underskirt. It has a nice ruffle tier! The hem is scalloped edged. This could definitely be worn with other items in your wardrobe. Simple and pretty!
