I used fallow/pale brown 100% cotton for this skirt...it is a vine print with some paisley swirls. The "V" of the skirt is trimmed with hand-frayed cream coloured cotton. So pretty and unique! For the patchwork under the "V" I used many different earthy coloured calico and quilt fabrics. They are sewn together in a random patchwork pattern. Each seam is serged and then topstiched for maximum durability! There is a large applique on the front with my beautiful *kissing trees* applique stitched onto the centre. It was hand-painted and then securely satin stitched. I also did some fancy "free-motion" stitching on top for extra detail! The skirt has a sweet little scalloped edged ruffle tier. The waist is drawstring/elastic and will fit several different sizes. The drawstring has wooden beads tied onto the ends.
