*For this apron, I used a variety of cotton and linen fabrics...all in brown tones. There are three layers to this apron...first, there a band at the top, with vines and leaves and butterfly appliques. The top of the band is accented with brown decorative scallop stitching and the bottom is raw-edged. The second layer of the apron features a funky flower applique in the centre! The edges have ribbon trim, and have been left raw edged...and topstitched, so it won't fray any further. The third layer is also raw-edged, and topstitched. The straps are raw-edged, and I gave them decorative leaves and vines stitches. So pretty! Since the straps are pretty wide, if you wear the apron as a top, you can wear a strapless bra.
*The underskirt is also made from a variety of cotton and linen fabrics. The back of the skirt (or front, depending on how you wear it) features lots and lots of tiers...all pieced together in my "slanted patchwork"! This looks really pretty in person. Unfortunately the pictures don't do it justice. I really love this skirt!!! You could definitely wear it on its own, or mix-and-match with other items in your wardrobe!
