This skirt ( and reversible 2-in-1 pocket/Bag ) is sooooo gorgeous! It's been a while since I've made one of my wrap skirts with detachable pocket/Bags....so I thought it was time to make another!
These skirt sets are an ORIGINAL and unique BallerinaGrape design!
The skirt is wrap style, and is made from a really gorgeous floral print cotton. I got this fabric on my last trip back home to Australia. Isn't it beautiful???? I loveeeeeeee it.... You probably won't find anything else everrr, made from this fabric so this skirt truly is one of a kind!
The butterfly applique is done in a hand-dyed marbled cotton!! This applique is sooo unique.....the butterfly tapers off into the leaves and vines that I love to do. It all came out so flow-y.... Aah, I just love it!!
The *reversible* bag is made from lovely denim and cotton fabrics. It is lined, with a drawstring closure. The strap was HAND-braided by me. Both bags match the skirt, but can also be worn with other items in your wardrobe! Did I mention this bag is completely REVERSIBLE!! hehe So cool...!
I added a *double tiered* ruffle tier at the hem. It has my unique scalloped edging and the tiers are done in my new slanted pachwork.
There is decorative swirl-y stitching at the waistband.
