This is my favourite style of dress. The bodice is curtain style...it is narrow and sort of sets above your bust. The bodice is mauve cotton and is fully lined in a textured cotton blend that I hand-dyed a light pink/purple. Gorgeous rose appliques and sweet little butterflies on the front. The longgggggg straps lace down the back through 3 sets of loops for an adjustable fit. Gently gathered skirting is a beautiful scarlet red...and then lots, and lots of tiers!!!...Patched together in my unique "slanted patchwork". The "skirting" on top of the tiers has some ribbon trim. I embroidered butterflies onto the ribbon and also down the back sides of the dress. This dress is adjustable...it has my *ORIGINAL* smocking with lace-up design at the back :) You can wear a strapless bra with this dress if you want to.
